Character Name: Yukari Mishakuji
Character Age: 30
Canon: K Project
Canon Point: Dream of Green Arc
History: Well, what do we have here?
Personality:
Yukari carries himself in a well-versed, good-humoured, confident manner. He speaks rather philosophically or poetically, as well as effeminately. He will call anyone he meets by their first name with a -chan suffix, and he will refer to himself in the third person. Called an, "impolite way of speaking," by Kurosuke. It denotes how much respect he actually has for those around him, which appears to be very little unless they have very high significance in his life. He only gives proper honourifics to two people, consequently, those who have seen through him to his true core.
He seems to be mostly unflappable in whatever he encounters; death, gore, and unfairness do not seem to faze him. He even appears to have a strong capacity to withstand pain and is not bothered by losing. Even when there was a large gash acrost his shoulder and chest, he was able to calmly insist to Sukuna that the battle was lost and that they needed to get out of the building before it collapsed. The loss of the Green King and Iwa did not bother him, and with his injuries, he was still able to carry Suzuka effortlessly. This also displays his flexibility and ability to remain calm in a crisis. At his worst, he is manipulative and even slightly maniacal, claiming at times that he will not be satisfied until someone's head rolls, in the very literal sense. Despite his "good-humoured" demeanour, he still comes across as uncaring and even cold.
He will call people out on their actions, such as Kurosuke's lack of passion in battle or one of his colleague's hypocrisy at someone not waiting for the celebration to start when he was drinking alcohol already. He does this bluntly, and may even offer why his input on why he believes they are doing such an action. He does his tasks immaculately, presumably under the desire to do so beautifully, and seems to take pride in that. He is also prominent in cooking and offers to cook in matters such as celebrations. He becomes eerily calm when it comes to a fight and would not hesitate to hurt someone who stands in the way of his goal, such as threatening to kill Kurosuke if he continues to stand between him and Ichigen. However, once satisfied, his personality returns to normal.
There have been few occassions where he has been unsettled. First and foremost by Ichigen, his mentor. In Ichigen's "final lesson" to Yukari, he tells Yukari that he must overcome obstacles to find his way. He gets taken aback by this before he quickly enters his semi-maniacal behaviour to engage in a fight with Ichigen. He also wavers slightly when the Green King calls him a Beast, almost ironically considering how Yukari carries himself. But the Green King says he is a Beast that is bored of this world, and thus wanders, lonely, with a lust for blood, and a desire that can only be seen when he swings a sword with the resolution to let blood flow. It both disturbs and intrigues him when someone sees through to the true core of himself, and thus earns Yukari's instantaneous respect, and curiousity.
He is highly intelligent and easily recites all of Ichigen's haikus from memory. He is very observant and calculating. He even will say something went "as expected" when facing against someone particularly strong. He is found to be extremely competent in whatever task he does. Even his ability to cook and do chores is considered graceful and perfect by others. He is firmly settled in doing things his way, and puts no effort into hiding his disagreements. Such as when he was told that he might learn more by teaching someone than being taught himself, he visibly displayed his annoyance, and hesitantly cooperated with it. When others try to persuade him into doing anything he doesn't want to do, he will say exactly what he thinks, and show varying levels of slight annoyance. If he gets bored on a task, he will tend to give a copout solution in order to get back out of it. Such isseen when they are looking for the Green King's bird, Kotosaka, uncertain if it was accidentally cooked into a meal. After a little bit of searching, Yukari suggested they get a lookalike replacement bird for the Green King, just so he wouldn't have to continue looking for it. Because of such behaviours, Kurosuke calls Yukari an "ambiguous man," but certainly not a bad one.
He is quite obsessed with the idea of beauty, and openly displays himself as such. Getting called, "unnecessarily flashy," or, "sparkly." He does everything gracefully, from dancing out of harm's way in a sword fight to his manner of speaking. He has been successfully flustered in circumstances, such as when Iwa "didn't recognize him because he had become so flashy," Yukari behaves in a tsundere manner, folding his arms and saying, "What exactly do you mean by that? I'm not wearing makeup, just so you know..." However, he also notes that, though he appreciates beauty more than anything else, he finds harmony, which he considers to be supposedly one of the best forms of beauty, to be rather unsatisfying. Because it is the safe path, he finds it boring, and thus wonders where the beauty is in that. He wants to pursue a "more vivid beauty.
In concurrence of his obsession with beauty, he can be found preening himself in times of idling, such as filing his nails while the Green Clan talks about what happened with Kotosaka. He has also been seen using a pore massager while appearing to have done some self pampering. Ultimately, he follows others out of his own curiousity, to see what beauty they can create and, potentially see that beauty in himself, following Ichigen's last advice to him. He is actually quite manipulative and plays whatever side he feels will bring him the most satisfaction. He lives true to his desires, or so he claims to Saruhiko.
He strayed from the path of his mentor and pointed his sword at him. But Kurosuke claims there was no way it could have been done out of hatred. Yukari said that he had pointed his sword at Ichigen as proof of their bond. He challenged Ichigen to learn one last thing, the beauty of Ichigen's soul that "bustles in life." He claims that, upon learning of Ichigen's death, he cried for the first time in a long time. He still carries those feelings with him.
He is extremely competent in combat, with his primary method being swordplay. He manages to dodge attacks gracefully and, seemingly, easily. He seems to approach danger with humour, and can even be heard humming melodically in dangerous situations, such as when he takes down the Usagi defenders of the Silver King with ease. Being injured does not slow him down, and he knows how to bow out gracefully once he feels like his ideals have been met.
He was something of a mentor to Kurosuke, under Ichigen's supervision and suggestion. Though, he did not seem to much appreciate it, as he felt more like he was bullying Kurosuke, and therefore such a thing, "isn't beautiful." Despite the roles of their past, he has become very satisfied in the fact that he and Kurosuke became enemies for the Silver King endeavour, "In order to overcome their tragic destiny." This hints that he uses the Colourless Aura and foresees a terrible end for both of them, and believes that in this manner, they both do not have to suffer as such. He taunts Kurosuke into fighting him. And then proceeds to tell him why Kurosuke could never beat him is the differences in the way they wield their weapon. Kurosuke's sword wields emptiness, while Yukari wields his sword with love, joy, sorrow, everything that he is. This makes him a superiour fighter in his eyes and gives him the motivation to take everything as it comes and adjusts as he needs to.
He does show a level of sympathy, as can be seen at the end of the Dream of Green Arc. He throws flowers into what remains of Jungle Headquarters, asking if Iwa and the Green King had fun, even though the dream was over. He tells Sukuna that if he wants to chase after a dream anymore, then you need to find your own dream, asking what Sukuna will do now. When Sukuna claims he won't head home until he can support himself, he offers for the child to come with him, saying it's not like he would actually just leave Sukuna behind to fend for himself. He says he also "thought about trying to raise a seed." But does not clarify on it, supposedly meaning he would like to raise the child.
Inventory:
Ayamachi: This sword was given to him by Ichigen in, what he considered, his defeat. Ichigen said directly that the sword's name means "fault" or "error." Ayamachi's length is longer than most samurai-style swords, resembling the length of a nodachi. The hilt resembles a classic Japanese sword style and is black. The blade itself has a protrusion near the hilt, something like a large thorn. It's sheathe is purple, with an indigo ribbon tied closer to the top, kind of resembling his hair colour. The sheath, when holding the sword, seems to have a slit to accommodate for the thorn, and allows Yukari more of an angle when drawing his sword. The sword hilt is attached to his jacket in an upright manner, for ease of access and flair.
Abilities:
Green Aura: An Aura obtained by serving under the Green King. He is able to manipulate large amounts of electricity, via himself or his sword. The electricity varies in intensity based on intent.
Colourless Aura: This Aura varies per person and is obtained by serving under the Colourless King. For Yukari, this was Ichigen. Yukari's Aura reflects Ichigen's Colourless Ability by a sense of Clairvoyance in which he can see parts of the future and act upon it, though probably not quite as powerful, as well as an ability to defy physics, such as standing sideways on a wall and being able to run up buildings. He can also use his colourless aura as an extension of himself and use it for attacks and defense.
Expert Combatant: He attacks very quickly and very precisely, being very knowledgeable in swordplay, and has a flashy flair in his manner of attack, giving poses and what may be generally taken as taunts. Dodges reflect gymnastic-like qualities, from flips, to cartwheels, and spinning out of harm's way. In the circumstance that he is injured, he is able to withstand large amounts of pain, and maintain the fight for as long as he deems necessary.
Intelligence: Yukari has displayed that he is very observant, has a fantastic memory, as he is able to recite many things from memory with ease and perfection, and is tactical, planning his actions based on the information he obtains. He seems to be very skilled in whatever task he performs.
Pilot: Yukari can pilot a helicopter
Flaws: Yukari is obsessed with beauty and makes his decisions, good or bad, based upon that path, in addition to what would make him alone satisfied. He will even play second fiddle if it means getting him what he wants. He has threatened to hurt a child and will attack whatever stands in his way. He speaks informally to people, denoting his respect to only a special few. He doesn't seem to take others concerns seriously and will sometimes instigate people just out of curiousity. Additionally, if he gets bored with a situation, he may cough up a lame suggestion and try to drop the activity.
